There's a difference between one isolated incident of extreme stress and literally forgetting skills _*for the entire movie._

There were multiple times where teleportation would've solved an issue. Klugetown for example. "Oh no, we've got people surrounding us. Shame we need a song and dance routine from an untrustworthy cat to escape." Or the desert. Sure they didn't know the exact direction to go, but Twi could've helped them along rather than simply do a tired "walk through the desert" cliche scene.


 
There have been examples in the show of stressful situations where they had no problems using their skills. The movie just flat-up ignored most of Twi's spells for the idiot ball trope."

I've seen plenty of discussion about moments in the series where said abilities would come in handy but weren't used. Some straight-up arguments in fact.
