It is now the moment of truth!
Grumpy is now tearing through the grass only feet away from Sabe as he continues to stand his ground.
Sabe can now feel the ground tremor beneath his hooves has the mad Rhino stomps ever closer!
At only a few feet apart from one another, both brace for what’s about to come next!
I really hope this doesn’t become a gore fest in the next 3 seconds!
Lets all root for Sabe to make it out of this situation alive!
With the first panel, I wanted to make a unique perspective seen from grass level. Just to make Grumpy look even bigger than he really is.
I mean, he is 3 tons, but this just emphases his looming presence.
With the second panel, I wanted to show how large Sabe is to Grumpy. Indeed Sabe is a GIANT Sable Antelope, but size-wise he still doesn’t come near the weight and mass of a Black Rhinoceros. In the panel, you can see pretty much all of Sabe’s body, while with Grumpy, that’s just the first 3rd of his body. Really puts the size into perspective.

What Kamazeustra said, it’s the style that I draw it in that makes it related. Female antelopes have round muzzles, while males have angular. Just like in the show. As well as big expressive eyes.

He is smaller than the Rhino. You can see pretty much all of Sabe’s body in the last panel, and only one 3rd of Grumpy’s.
That shows how much bigger the Rhino is.
Giant Sable Antelope are around 5 feet tall, Rhinos shoulders also come to about 5 feet tall. So they are similar height-wise, but not mass-wise. Sabe’s 500 pounds give or take, while Grumpy is 3 tons.

Okay, I didn’t anticipate these two had these relative sizes. I thought the story’s hero was smaller than the rhino.
The comic’s done in FiM art style. Possibly this is supposed to be Zecora’s home country, too.
