… I guess they’re keeping the
EngrishEnglish title for marketing/trademark/consistency with the merchandise reasons…Nah, they’ve always done that with the princesses, even in the dub for FiM.
Their names had interesting or amusing translations.
Considering the Chinese, that doesn’t surprise me at all.
I wonder if they just thought the character’s name was “Princess Twilight” since there’s already another Twilight Sparkle in the show?
I think the Chinese dub did.
What bothers me more is Purinsessu Towairaito instead of Towairaito-Hime. :P
Oh and Starlight sounds so “kya kya oniichan kawaii”. I don’t know how to feel about this.
