I think one-word fanon names are a better option, because when Hasbro decides to canonize fanon names, it’s usually “[fanon name] + [something else]” (as almost every pony’s name is composed of two words)
e.g. Lyra Heartstrings, Cherry Berry, Lucky Clover, Lotus Blossom, Lily Valley etc.

“Paisley or Paisley pattern or Mango design: In Tamil, the design is known as Mankolam (Mango design) and has long been used in Tamil nadu, India. The traditional design is also used in gold jewelleries. The manga maalai (Mango necklace)[1][2] with matching earrings is a traditional bharathanatyam/temple jewellery.[3] It is a prominent design in Kanchipuram silk sarees.[4][5][6][7] It resembles a mango and has sometimes been associated with Hinduism.[8][9] The pattern is sometimes called “Persian pickles” by American traditionalists, especially quiltmakers,[10] or “Welsh pears” in Welsh textiles as far back as 1888.[11]”
