If you go to the linked source and read the comments, you’ll see that the author has mentioned that Shining helped carry some of the kids with a genderswap spell. There were also twins and such, with both of them even being pregnant at the same time.

Well, there are ten foals. So, not assuming multiple pregnancies, we have a minimum. However, seeing as a normal horse pregnancy last eleven months, and ponies do act very much like humans, they likely did so during the pregnancy as well. If we assume the oldest was conceived almost immediately, then they have been together at least ten years. If we conservatively go with them being intimate once a month, but subtract three months to account for AJ being close to term and needing recovery after giving birth, then we have nine months times ten years, which would put it at about ninety.
