4kids really didn’t leave anything completely untouched. Sometimes the cuts for “violence” ended up making things more awesome, like Dedede’s laser chainsaw… but then there’s the matter of the spring-loaded showerhead. Or the kids wielding vague neon shapes instead of shovels.

That’s…unbelievable to read since 4kids is notorious for dubbing in random puns into just about every scene, no matter the mood. Maybe they stole one of the editors from the Ultimate Muscle team that day.

Lol, I still have yet to understand where this sonic hates seems to come from. Sonic isn’t bad. Only a number of his games and Sonic X.

Earlier that episode, they were on a trampoline or something. In the english dub, Amy asks Cream something about the boots she is wearing.
 
If the comments are to be believed, in the original japanese version, she asks Cream if the trampoline left marks in her butt. In her butt.

To be honest aside from a few things 4Kids took out (like the “Live & Learn” song, and censoring Maria’s death) most of the changes they did were pretty minor to the show, if you ask me. (Yes, I watched both versions.)
 
Though, not all the changes are bad. The scene where in episode 5 when Amy kicks the li’l annoying kid off the train seat who was pulling on her ear, I think it was actually funnier in the english version, because in the Japanese version, Amy actually has thinking dialogue along the lines of, “Stupid brat! Only Sonic can call me cute!” which kinda ruins the pacing, and tension of that moment. While the english version they took out the thought dialogue, which actually made what she does next a bit more unexpected, and funnier in my opinion.

Are they good? Yes, very good, I haven’t been keeping up lately, but they are very enjoyable to read, yet the continuing story arc makes it a bit confusing if you just jump right in.
 
SOme people say that the comics between #80 to #159 (i think) are not very good in terms of story and art, but I enjoy them too.  
Still, current ones are the best choice. Lots of character variety and locations and everything.

I can agree with that. He definitely could be grating. I’ve never read the comics. (Outside of a few you can read in one of the collectors editions I have.)
 
Are they good?

I hated Sonic in Sonic X, he was so annoying to me that I wanted to shoot him. I never liked him as a character, but something about him in Sonic X just rubs me the wrong way.

Both versions have Chris. Your argument is invalid.

@Prof.NightJack The comics were the ones based on the show, and have incorporated elements from all the shows and most of the videogames. Next year there will be an issue that will give a conclusion to Sonic Underground (Wich is taken as a paralel universe to the one of the comics).
 
 
I’m honestly tired of Sonic X and all its drama (I’m sure it “inspired” more OC than any of the games), it’s time to move on.

The first one, Called Soinc SatAM as a nickname, is based on the comics and fallows very close to the story if them, so saying to screw it is to say the same to the comics.
