For the Nightmare Nights charity auction, Lauren Faust drew an alicorn princess Twilight.
You make it sound as though Faust made drama over Twilicorn too.
AFAIK, she simply stated it wasn’t her plan to have Twilight ascend,
I don’t recall her being outright upset about it.
It’s little more than a Nightmare Nights Dallas auction sketch. Take it with a pinch of salt.

AFAIK her plan was only for Twilight to succeed Celestia, not explicitly become an alicorn or a princess. There’s a tweet or comment somewhere from her where she was pretty specific about her plans only being succession; how that’d have worked inside the lore framework without the rest is an unknown.
Well, it was her original plan to have the series ended at season three with Twilight becoming an alicorn, so, it’s not actually outside of her original vision (it’s just at the very end of it).
But if she starts drawing GlimGlam then we all should be worried.
