I think someone originally drew Trixie eating a chocolate bar, and it was terribly drawn that someone mistook it for a pine cone, and the rest is history.
I thought it grew out of speculation on how Trixie sustained herself after the disaster of “Boast Busters”.
Basically, someone requested art of Trixie eating a pine cone… and they got it.
Ah, yes. The dank memes.

This is one of those memes. And like any meme that’s one of those memes, you don’t question or think too hard on it, just enjoy the absurdity of it all.
What the hell was even the origin of that dumb meme anyway? “Trixie eats pine cones” or whatever it is?

your current filter.Your art for me has about the same type of appeal that TJPones’ does: It’s relatively simple and cartoony, but the humor is very strong, and that’s what I like it for. As long as you don’t start, say, drawing with your feet, I can’t imagine anyone giving you guff for its quality.

Oh, so that’s why this had a sudden increase in activity.
I don’t see anything wrong with it with exception that Sunburst’s ear might be too big. I didn’t draw it though, I suppose lots of problems that are evident to the artist aren’t quite so visible to all viewers.

That, and doing a week of Uncommon Bond themed images also showed me that I should stick to keep these three as digitally coloured only. It was nice have a go at drawing them 100% traditionally for a change, but it just doesn’t look as good in my opinion.
