That’s one of the movie’s failings, certainly. They didn’t really have enough opportunity for Twilight and Sunset to get to know each other, for this moment to really…make sense. Without a real solid connection built up beforehand, this comes off somewhat as Twilight just blindly going along with what the crazy yelling girl tells her.
Which is a shame, because this movie certainly could have done without some of the padding in favor of actual character development.
And then buttsecks.
Edited because: rating
abandon ship
Want? want? want? Want.
Well, we know she’s not usually the confrontational type. It’s a pressured kid at the controls with her. And seeing as it seems Sunset knows what’s going on better, survival instinct took over.
What? No. Twilight (or Midnight, I guess) could and almost overpowered Sunset (Er, Daydream) but had been distracted by Spike.
All Twilight knows about Sunset is that she yelled at her. That’s it. Why should she trust her? Just suplex her!
It’s not in Sunset’s nature to blast people when forgiveness is still an option. As for Twilight, she’d already lost the fight.
I guess that’s not how Sunny rolls, bruh.
Y’know, the ‘Take my hand!’ scene
Eh, that’s more understandable. I would say though, Magical Girl genre traditions have kinda been in FiM since day one. Hell, the only thing stopping Nightmare Moon from being the archetypical Dark Queen is the lack of a proper Dark Kingdom (Dark Queens are seldom solo acts like Nightmare Moon was), and the only thing stopping the Mane 6 from being an archetypical Magical Girl team was the lack of outfits and the fact that they all seemed like grown adults rather than prepubescent girls.
But yeah, I guess I’m kinda overreacting here. Sorry.
@SJArt117
That was more directed at the Background Pony than you. Though frankly, that’s likely Troll feeding. Sorry about this.
I don’t recall saying it was weeb shit O.o I only said it was too anime for me. XD I could be a huge fan for all you know! XD
I think they may be referring to the whole magical girl corruption cleansing thing
@SJArt117
So giving animated characters non-exaggerated, more human expressions is weeb shit now?
anime sucks bad
Why not both?
