i think The 7th Element of Harmony is inspiration, on my little pony there was a episodes, where spike went to celestia and Luna old castle, spike went in to the Library found a magic book for rarity what if that was the 7th Element of Harmony??????

Actually, the gem isn’t a element of harmony. It’s just there because… why not? The green one is actually fluttershy, the pink one is pinkie pie, the blue one is rainbow dash, the red one is twilight, the purple one is rarity, and the orange one is Applejack.

I doubt that, because if anyone is going to be a seventh EoH at this point it’s going to be Starlight Glimmer.
 
The geodes are the other world’s version and belong there, taking one or more of them to Equestria might be a very bad idea given what happened when Sunset stole the element of magic (and thus, caused the entire EqG series aside from the Sirens).
 
Of course, this presents a bit of a problem for Sunset Shimmer herself, because that means she wouldn’t be able to go back to Equestria for long (while wearing her geode).

What if the Tree of Harmony created the Mirror Portal and Hid the Seventh in EQG world and the red magic was searching it’s physical form. And the extra Magic are excess element energy that trying to find a vessel?

We’re in agreement from official sources that the hypothetical 7th Element is Empathy. Guess what, it was the Pillars failure to empathize with the villain that caused all their problems. And the only member who might have what represented what would become empathy, said villain. The present Elements, they would have made the same mistake if not for their sixth ranger convincing them otherwise.

I made jokes about Sunset or Starlight being the obligatory sixth ranger before, but I never expected an actual green sixth ranger element.

It depends on who said villain is. Hopefully in season 8 they introduce a ‘rival’ for Starlight. I wonder if she’s met moondancer

This is really out there, but what if, way down the line, Starlight Glimmer manages to reform another existing villain?

I don’t feel like repeating my idea again.
 
I will say I prefer sympathy rather than forgiveness for Starlight.

Empathy has been explicitely stated as Sunset’s element.
 
We still have no clear word of god on what Starlight’s might be if it happens.

Well they have the physical elements back again plus now the original creators of the elements to aid in protecting Equestria all over. Now if my hunch is right just like how Sunset became the element of empathy I believe Starlight will become the 7th element of harmony in the mane mlp universe. And her element would be either Justice or Forgiveness because its very clear that Starlight has a way of viewing friendship and dealing with villains that goes beyond banishing them. The defeat of the pony of shadows is proof she learns well from Twilight because she extended an olive branch to somepony who needed it even when everyone else thought them beyond help.

I hope the eighth season has an arc over Chrisalys creating their clones of anti-harmony or at least have long clues of the season for the great end of season

This also confirms or semi confirms my theory that Sunset became an element of harmony on her own. She embodies the virtue of empathy and thus the current elements found her worth and created a new element for the world that the elements currently inhabited.
 
Now given the elements were created by the pillars of Equestria it stands to reason ‘anti elements’ could be created by much more evil beings. Perhaps this is what Queen Chysilis is up too in the season 8 first episode?
 
This also makes me wonder why love isn’t one of the elements BUT love has an entire princess to itself so I guess it evens out

If you note there are other branches without elements. I have a feeling other Elements can appear as needed or as they become prominent. Empathy appeared on Earth but has yet to appear in Equestria. Probably because no pony until Starlight has emphasised Empathy to the required degree yet to ‘spawn’ a new element.
 
The other issue-what happened to there damn Element Powers they got to fight Tirek!

To be fair, Meghan also said Starlight would be empathy. I think we should we wait till the show itself says something on the matter
