I’m not talking to you, I’m talking to Ship trash.
Let me tell you that at this point, given the size of the leak, EQD is also predicting someone will get fired. Even if no insider directly caused the leaks, such a security breach guarantees unemployment for someone. Leaks never go unpunished.
Nope, there’s names of several persons (Episode 1, Episode 15, Episode 23 all have different names), and those are “last modified” tags, not “uploaders” tags. DO NOT spread harmful rumors. Those names have nothing to do with leaks, but inner editing process.
@raakamagna
See what I’m saying? People are already jumping on witch hunt bandwagon. Congrats, you will get innocent people unrelated to leaks fired. Do you feel proud of yourself?

Yeah the movie leak is potential financial loss territory. Probably not as bad for show episodes to my knowledge, but the movie leaking isn’t good for business.
I in fact watched the leaks (Do not worry, I intend to watch the episodes when they air in my country, have been doing that for years, watch episodes in the original language, then watch the LatAm dub released one month or longer later and compare). If you learn spoilers, that is something I can tell you.
Normally, if I knew all fans would do as I and watch the episode twice, I would not be concerned over leaks since they will not affect ratings or revenue. But the film leak made it clear some fans would watch the leak and never produce any form of revenue later. That is painful to me.
You see, I saw it happen before. Sabotage leaks are not as rare as you think. I saw it happen with Legend of Korra and Steven Universe. Legend of Korra tanked partly because some fans refused to watch it on Nickelodeon. There were other things that harmed it, but many fans suspected the leak caused lots of harm, and was done as sabotage (Since the leaks were as organized if not more than this one). Same happened with Steven Universe, which, while not cancelled, has struggled and the staff cryptically implies Cartoon Network wants to axe them.
In previous cases it was a sabotage from the network against the producers because the show was not profitable. Here we see the show is profitable, hence my suspicion goes toward a disgruntled or burnt out staff member trying to make the show end in order to avoid leaving while the wave is high… A comment in this section makes me suspect even further. It could be someone who was never that much into the show.
That is why I feel the departure of McCarty and Larson could be tied. They had a cordial interaction with all fans, the rest of the staff is not a s friendly with them, and both seemed to keep the staff morale up a bit.
Whatever is the cause, i hope the fans will have the ethics the Avatar fans lacked, and to see the leaker fired.
I just read some of those comments on EqD. If those commenters there aren’t bullcrapping I just pretty much learned finale spoilers. Intriguing stuff.
Yes. He left on season 5. But remember that trouble has been brewing since season 6. In fact McCarty left in season 5. I get the feeling their departure had a negative impact on the staff and it is starting to manifest now.
I do not know who it is, but as mentioned in this thread, there is someone hinted to be behind this. Of course Hasbro, and all the higher ups in production will find out who it was during this week. Leaks never go unnoticed and there is always someone who faces the consequences unless the sabotage was intentional. And since MLP is Hasbro’s highest grossing brand at the moment, it is not intentional.
This leak hit the fan. It was not just a small leak, but a big one, and everyone found out of it. It is already on EQD’s front page. Hasbro will punish someone, just as they did with all those C&Ds.
Just curious, how do you know? I am speculating with best guesses and logical inference but I have no intimate knowledge of actuality.
Also, I thought Larson was inactive on the show since season 5. Again, just curious.
Nah. The guy probably will get fired, and probably Hasbro knows who it is already since everyone was alerted. Next staff tweet saying someone will no longer work on the show will reveal the culprit…
Larson leaves and shit hits the fan.
It would seem probable that it’s at least a breach of a non-disclosure agreement, but I don’t know exactly what arrangement they have with their staff. Seems like people on a fan site/image repository like this get potentially more rebuke for posting leaked images than the official leaker(s) lol.

Well. Whoever it is, should be fired, or at least reprimanded. A leak is an act of sabotage, and such things harm the show. Given the fact that is in the show bible, I would dare assume is someone high ranking. Well, I get suspicion as to who it is. Not sure who it is, but wouldn’t be surprised if my suspicion is right.
@ArkyNoid
In the files of the leaked scripts and show bible, the name of the person cane be found. I’m not gonna say the name as I don’t want the person to be fired
That’s a very large logical leap uour making there.
Yeah that wouldn’t surprise me. While there’s no concrete evidence, holy heck do things leak like clockwork.
This was not so common when Larson took the lead.
@Background Pony #7931
This guy’s got the right idea.
