Because it’s funny.
We watch it for the plot…
Her face is too close to Applejack’s butt, which is hilarious
Butts
Lol
That Diggersby tho
That ass tho
Possibly.
That’s messed up… (Why would anyone think Donald would say a dirty word?) But nice to hear they have the enedited version.
Disney’s not perfect, nor a sacred cow. but sometimes they do get some undeserved flack over ridiculous things.
A lady yelled, and berated a guy dressed as Goofy at Disneyland, and accused him of being racist, because he didn’t hug her kid. (He actually didn’t see them, until she started yelling, as the costume has limited vision.) After trying to be nice to her, and hugging the kid, he briefly broke character to her, (which is risking being fired BTW at Disneyland) lifting his sleeve up, showing his arm, and skin color was the same as her’s.
There’s sadly ALOT of horror stories from Disneyland workers about dealing with obnoxious customers, and such.

Speaking of people boycotting things. Did you know that they had to edit the old cartoon Clock Cleaners because a parent bought a VHS that contained it from Walmart and misheard a part where Donald Duck says “sez you” as “fuck you”
and then threatened to start a boycott?
They replaced the audio with Donald Duck saying something else from another cartoon but did such a poor job at it that you can hear Pluto barking in the background when he says his line (even though Pluto is not in Clock Cleaners). Fortunately, Disney+ contains the unaltered version.
Yeah, which actually isn’t unusual for cartoons, as sometimes they put in jokes for parents, so they can enjoy it with their kids too.
to be fair I think the intentional stuff would have been more well hidden hidden because they knew it was going in. even as recent as frozen 2 there was still some dirty jokes in their films
I don’t think the Betty Boop thing ever happened, especially, because it’d be a bit OOC for her. She maybe a li’l risqué (especially for the 1930s) but she’s not that trampy. Or do you mean accidentally? (She sometimes accidentally flashes her undies.)
@Background Pony #A91E
I remember all that stuff, understandable Disney edited all of that, as Disney was actually taking heat for those misunderstanding things to the point some wanted to protest them over that stuff they mistook as lewd. (Like not buy Disney stuff, and such.)
Meanwhile, some other intentional subtle adult jokes get nothing, but praise.

Well they were all edited eventually. In a later DVD, Baby Herman’s finger is digitally erased (he was using his middle finger by the way) to change it into a fist instead.
Disney edited a bunch of other stuff that was actually harmless (unlike this moment in Roger Rabbit) in later DVDs as an attempt to end urban legends for some of their movies.
Such as digitally erasing the “SFX” in the Lion King that people confused for “SEX”, muting the weird muffled audio from Aladdin that people misheard as “good teenagers take off your clothes!” and digitally erasing the priest’s knee in The Little Mermaid that people mistook for an erection.
Edited
The second one.
In fair I might have remembered it wrong and it’s not as explicit as I thought.
I don’t know about that Betty Boop one though
Which one? The scene where Baby Herman sticks his arm up a woman’s dress and he briefly has a really perverted looking expression on his face (and if you look at his finger frame by frame it’s visibly wet)? Or the scene where Betty Boop flashes Eddie which was edited out early on from the theatrical version? Or when Jessica Rabbit rolls around and her underwear disappears for a few frames?
That’s not even the only moment of something like that happening. Who framed Roger rabbit had something even worse
Edit: oh that’s already been mentioned
Edited
It wasn’t just edited out but the 1999 release was recalled. Which made it a collector’s item.
I think there are about 24 frames in a second. So it’s only on screen for about 1/12th of a second.
I actually have the 1990s VHS video tape release of that movie, and I can confirm, that’s not an urban legend, it’s true.
The Disney company was quite upset to discover this, and edited it out of future rereleases.
Apparently, rumor has it a disgruntled post-production worker snuck that in, but it goes by so fast, it’s impossible to see without pausing, or slow-motion.
Considering at one point someone literally snuck two frames with a topless woman into the 1977 Rescuers release, yeah. There’s a significant, non-zero number of Disney films that ended up edited a bit after release, that one and Roger Rabbit included.
