Forehead. Basically it’s just SO tight/form fitting that when he widens his eyes, it shows it’s glued to the rim of his eye.

I believe you’re not seeing the reasoning.
Rumble didn’t want to do a bunch of petty acts, regardless of how “fun” they were, because he didn’t want his mark in them. He wanted to train and race towards being a wonderbolt due to he idea of being forced to do the thing your mark says (and several instances in the episode proving him right), and so initially, he wanted to only race and work on his flying so that when/if he got his mark, it was strictly doing something he loved.
Little miss Haiku didn’t care for haikus, she wanted to paint circles. Sure it wasn’t her talent, but that was what was fun, but her mark said “haiku talent” and, without trying, she was making haikus non-stop when what she really wanted to do was paint circles and, well, have fun.
And again, Rumble was right as he put the CMC on the spotlight and they have been doing pretty much nothing BUT what their marks are about, not things they enjoy for the sake of enjoying it.
Thunderlane, from the perspective of Rumble, comes across as an intrusive sibling “trying to deliberately set him up for failure for the rest of his life”. We only know that isn’t true because, by word of TL, all the activities on the camp, Rumble exceeds at; horseshoe, painting, writing, Rumble is good at all of it, but refused to apply himself for the above reasons.
Yes, he’s supportive, in an obtrusive irritating sibling sort of manner, but that’s how it is with brothers.
The one thing that turned Rumble? TL showing him that he could still do things such as horseshoe, tug of war, even cooking because of the mark not defining you, but he had to be bossy about it due to Rumble standing firm in his decisions.
I completely agree. Thunderlane showed all the most obvious facets of a caring and supportive, albeit assertive, older brother. Bossy is a very shallow assertion of his character in this episode.
HE’S ALSO FRIGGING ADORABLE AND SWEET AND NICE.
OH GOD, I LOVE HIM…People are finding him ‘bossy’, this episode? I found Thunderlane to be pretty damn supportive, personally. People look for flaws like it’s their job. He went out of his way to try to help his brother with a problem, and then when shit went south he had a clever plan of action to help Rumble see why trying other things is important.
