Yes, but the males were the ones getting stung, and always on the butt. Until tonight, I never thought I would see a female character in western animation getting stung on the bum. Well, not only did it finally happen, it happened to FLUTTERSHY! The one pony everyone would assume to be too delicate for slapstick! Well, she’d already conked herself dizzy earlier, with stars circling her head no less, so I guess that argument is invalid. :P
(and yes, I know technically it did show Meadowbrook getting stung first, but that was a flashback. :P )

The best thing is, they didn’t just do it once this episode, but TWICE! Meadowbrook received TWO bee stings to the butt, while Fluttershy got one. It’s a magical moment.
Hey, you’re not a freak at all. We’re all different, to each their own. And I get exactly what you mean: it is extremely rare in cartoons to see females getting stung by bees, and more rare to see them get stung on the butt, slapstick-style. So to finally see this happen, it was heaven for me, and I bet for you too!

Actually, earth ants works exactly like I described, but the difference is that a young queen mates with several males and fertilizes her eggs, resulting in female workers which she builds her colony out of. When she doesn’t fertilize an egg, it results in a male.
