This series has always seemed to do fairly realistic cars, but has always changed them. I think the Bighorn is based off a Ford, but the rear tail lights suggest an old C/K platform from GM. But the side mirrors are all Ford.
 
The Sheriff SUV’s are very much Jeep Grand Cherokee’s. The Ponyville Police, also shown in this series, have blue cars that seem to be toned down Dodge Charger’s.
 
Octavia owns an 80s BMW-esque car. Starlight has an 80s Volvo type vehicle. A guy named Javan seems to have a totally unique car I can’t place anything on. And the last one I can think of is Shining Armor and Cadance seem to have a Pacifica type minivan, the most modern car shown in the series.

It’s a mishmash, but the “Bighorn” on the truck pretty much makes it a Dodge Ram expy. It looks more Ford-like, so hopefully you only need three or four cussword combinations when it breaks (GMC family usually takes five to seven, same for older Dodge, newer Dodge/Ram require knowing how to cuss in German, Klingon and Binary).

I’m only here just for the cars…

Well, if they get called out on it, they can always claim it was a “training exercise”.
