Oh thank common sense they went with the Tempest we know from the film. Fusing animal parts to herself feels like a Discord ripoff. Plus I love the name change from Cosmos.

Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. Funnily enough that was what I thought too. Most of these designs are… kind of messy, and some are a bit ugly if I’m being honest, but those two I really liked. They fit the show’s artily better, too.
 
Although I also like how the colored design #1 – the blue one under “Cosmos Explorations” – has a real-life equestrian mane style (or at least something like one, I’m no expert). It’s a clever touch.

I actually really like these designs… they’re gritty, edgy, yet interesting. I’ll call it a guilty pleasure. A bit too intense/gruesome for MLP, so I know why they changed it, but I still like it.  
My favorites are the Discord-looking one, the thicker and more brutish one, and the third one on the bottom.
