Poor Derpy she’s just a walking calamity like that unlucky person off police academy

Story idea: Dash has to go away on business and on the insistence of her boss has to leave Derpy in charge. She tries to arrange it so that Derpy is in fact kept busy somewhere while the other ponies take care of their tasks by themselves. But when unexpected problems occur and a storm leaves the pegasi in need of a coordinated effort her plan backfires when the leaderless pegasi end up panicked and unable to handle the task. Called back just in time, Dash and Derpy must work together to save everyone else. Afterwards, they learn a lesson about trusting other ponies with responsibilities, even if you think you can handle them better.

She’ll still find a way to burn it down.
