Asi es como pienso que es la vida y la familia de Derpy:  
Derpy Hooves es una pegaso que nació con un trastorno similar al estrabismo, lo que dificultaba su vida en su ciudad natal Cloudsdale. Una vez viajo a Ponville para realizarse una operación laser para corregir su vista; no dio resultado, pero a Derpy le encanto tanto el pequeño pueblo que decidió quedarse. Obtuvo un trabajo como repartidora y se hizo amiga de Carrot Top.  
Un día se encontró con una unicornio pre-adolescente llamada Amethyst Star. Ella había sido victima de maltrato por parte de sus padres y de otros potros del orfanato en el que ella se había escapado. Derpy decidió cuidarla y no avisar a las autoridades al ver que ella necesitaba alquien que pudiera confiar. Con el tiempo, Derpy se volvio una verdadera madre para  
Amethyst Star. Finalmente lograron hablar con Servicios Sociales y lograron convencerlos de que Amethyst Star (o “Sparkler”, como Derpy la llamaba) se quedara con ella como tutora legal.  
Un día, Derpy fue invitada a una fiesta en Carterlot. Todo iba bien hasta que alguien, como broma, decidió picar el ponche. Derpy despertó el día siguiente con resaca y en la cama de un unicornio, Written Script. Meses despues tuvo su segunda hija, Dinky. Derpy y Written Script trataron de salir varias veces, pero nunca han tenido algo en común salvo Dinky. No obstante, Written no es cretino y ha sido un buen padre. Se mudo a Ponyville donde trabaja de escribano y empezó un romance con Carrot Top, quien es una segunda madre para Dinky.  
En algún momento, Derpy empezó a trabajar a medio tiempo como asistente del Doctor Whooves. Con el tiempo, desarrollaron una buena química entre ellos. Es aquí donde las cosas se ponen raras. En un algún momento, durante la sexta temporada, Derpy y Doctor se perdieron por el tiempo y espacio. A pesar que para todos estuvieron ausentes solo unos minutos, a ellos les tomo casi una década volver a casa. Durante su viaje, confesaron su amor mutuo, se casaron y tuvieron a su hijo, Crackle Pop, quien ahora tiene la misma edad de Dinky.

Derpy Hooves is a pegasus who was born with a strabismus-like disorder, making life difficult in his hometown of Cloudsdale. Finally they managed to talk to Social Services and managed to convince them that Amethyst Star (or “Sparkler”, as Derpy called her) would stay with her as legal guardian. One day, Derpy was invited to a party in Carterlot. All was well until someone, as a joke, decided to spike the punch bowl. She woke up the next day with a hangover and on the bed of a unicorn, Written Writing. Months later she had their second daughter, Dinky. Derpy and Written Script tried dating several times, but they have never had anything in common except Dinky. However, Written is not a jerk and has been a good father. He moved to Ponyville where he works as a scribe and began a romance with Carrot Top, who is like a second mother to Dinky.  
At some point, Derpy started working part-time as an assistant to Doctor Whooves. Over time, they developed a good chemistry between them. This is where things get weird. At some point, during the sixth season, Derpy and Doctor were lost for the time and space. Although they were absent for only a few minutes, it took them almost a decade to return home. During their trip, they confessed their mutual love, married and had their son, Crackle Pop, who is now the same age as Dinky.
