You can take it as shipping, or just two friends with similar pressures in life blowing off steam by doing nothing together.
Update 8/21/17 Ember’s head color was slightly off from the rest of her body, fixed that. Also widened her forward-pointing foot a little.

Yeah, you’re right.

That’s an opinion.
Do you never think that Spike and Ember might be the same age? The dragons has never treat Spike like a little kid, they treat him like a teenager, the only thing the dragons did make fun of is his short appearance, not his age. I don’t know what you getting at here.

I’m not ignoring your “facts” I’m just stating what I think would be better for the character. There’s no age limit that necessitates Spike as being “old enough” to do the feats you mentioned. He doesn’t act his age. He acts older than he is. I don’t disagree with that. But that doesn’t mean I necessarily think he should be paired with others older than him. The voice actress can mention what they would like to see and that’s fine. They have nothing to do with how characters develop. They’re not writers. I’m just saying if the writers chose to go down a path of linking him with someone romantically instead of the one sided kid crush he has, I would prefer it to be someone his own age.
What?
Rule 6.
Why are you ignoring the facts, nobody cares he’s a cartoon character, even the writers don’t care about this nonsense. Even his voice actress prefer to ship him with Fluttershy.

Regardless I would still prefer Spike to find someone his own age. Pony/Dragon years aside he’s still much younger than Ember
@AsPonyAsPossible
Jim Miller say Spike is 10-12 in dragon years but 16-22 in pony years. He say dragons’ age are slower than ponies and also the characters can be whatever age we want because their age are not set. 10 x 1.6 = 16, so Spike could be 10 in dragon years but 16 in pony years. Remember a 1 years old dog is 7 in human years but mature faster than a human. Dragons could be mature in 10 years while ponies mature in 20 years. G3 Spike was a little bigger than G4 Spike but was asleep for a 1,000 years and consider a old dragon to be a million years old. I doubt the dragons would let a baby/child be dragon lord but Garble who hated Spike respect him as dragon lord and Torch allow him to complete. Not to mention him getting Hoity Toity to see Rarity fashion show, being a scribe and doing royal (government) business for the princess, he being friends with Big Macintosh, the fact he does’nt hang out with any filly/foal running around Ponyville, being narriator for heart warming eve. Being a mail carrier for the princess, being in charge of the mane six pets, his skills for cooking, cleaing, playing various instruments all point to him being at least 16 or above.

Glad someone shares my thoughts on this garbage comment thread.
Honestly I think Sparity and EmberSpike are both shitty ships and Spike needs to find someone his age
Nope, not being butthurt here, just pointing out the obvious facts. And if you don’t know, I like both Sparity and EmberSpike.
It looks like you’re the one butthurt, friend. Nobody talked about sparity until you showed up
Butthurt? No, not at all. Merely curious.
And yet Spike has never show any feelings forwards Ember, like he does forwards Rarity :^)
@Paradox_Brony
You guys are being butthurt that Sparity is still a popular ship over EmberSpike >:P
Well…that escalated quickly
I do. But i also ship embrax.
What? Are you afraid that your ship might sink? It won’t
Gosh dangit all! I was gonna say that!
Hi there, don’t usually ship things myself but Ember and Spike dose make more sense to me.
I know, right? They had nice dialogue and great interactions and everything. Lyra and Bon Bon were just sitting on a bench in the background one time…
