Eh, Lyra didn’t really do anything negative. Bon Bon being a fan of the Apples has precedent, and of the two, she is the most prone to be a jerk.
 
Honestly, the BP that is more damaged by this is Lemon Hearts for boycotting Rarity. The others are just shown being various levels of fangirls/fanboys.
 
Amethyst Star imo came out of this debacle looking great. Very proud Fluttershy fangirl, doesn’t participate in the best pony argument, is shown to be bothered by all the fighting, and cracks several warm smiles while listening to the Mane 6’s song.

the same way Twilight does not respond/react at all when meeting with Lyra, Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine in Ponyville before (and after) Amending Fences. They make us to believe that Twilight never remember those ponies as her school colleagues because she’s too sinking in her studies, but post Amending Fences those ponies were treated as a stranger again.

the very next episodes might have the whole dispute nonexistent, they might touch it a little (maybe about the problematic friendship journal) in some future episodes. But still it will be likely the whole commotion will be treated as if it is not a big deal at all.

I wouldn’t mind this episode so much if they didn’t turn well known background ponies into jerks who don’t learn their lesson. I hate that the most, especially when Twilight’s old Canterlot friends start getting in on it…

Admitelly, that ending was just too cynical for my tastes. Had it ended on everyone agreeing on chilling out (maybe with a little poking fun at the still retaining their opinion but calmly) and leaving them alone, it would’ve been better… But instead have them learn nothing and show that they’re still gonna harass them.

Yea It’s actually my second favorite TV show of all time behind Theodore Tugboat. But at least it’s not a trash bag that’s had a bad day. Like, say your mom cleans out the cat litter. Fresh, and stale doody pebbles go right in the bottom of the bag. And then your sister throws out her used tampons, and where do they go? In the same bag. And then your brother comes home, piss-ass drunk, just upchucks, pukes right into the bag.

As long as you don’t downright rage quit over a some petty reasons, I.e. Wings, when the issue doesn’t really change much in the long run, love what you love. Like it says, they ain’t perfect, but that’s why we love it.

The show has always been a mixed bag, from the start. I agree. And, I think that more episodes are just average with a few things notably good about them. But, yeah, when lightning strikes with this show, it strikes hard. This is why I still love it. No need to feel that I’m judging you.
