Indeed, the MLP fandom isn’t the only fandom with issues.  
It’s oddly something both bronies/MLP-Fans, and those that dislike MLP/bronies forget.
 
I’ve had experience with many different fandoms too, being a fan of many different things.

When I see someone like you, I wonder if the MLP fandom is the first one you’ve been a major part of, because I’ve interacted with a lot of fandoms, and in my experience they are all the same. If you can’t deal with humans being… humans, prepare to either be miserable for the rest of your life or avoid being a fan of anything.

People who annoy me are everywhere. I annoy me, as a matter of fact. I simply fix my focus on the positives of people and disregard all the negatives. Which is partly why I’m not very good at arguing. X3

I’d ask if you were frequenting a forum or other discussion area free of obnoxious fans, but I’m afraid if you revealed the existence of such a place, the obnoxious fans would go there to try to spoil it as well.

Are you sure they’re obnoxious people and not just people with a difference of opinion? ‘Cause it sounds a bit like the latter to me. Again, don’t wanna anger you by sounding like a smartass, just trying to compare my experience with yours. I’m not exactly a newcomer myself, I’ve been a fan since season 3 and the show means a lot to me, so I can understand if you’re a bit protective of it like me.

How can you tell? The only way one can accurately figure out whether there are more obnoxious, entitled fans than fans who do nothing except watch the show is to search and record the responses of the however many millions of viewers the show receives. Even we in the comments section of every upload or forums are presumably a minority as well; if one has ever noticed there could be hunderds of more upvotes than comments on a given image…
