Heck, do you see her family’s house in the first episode? Not only were they already wealthy looking but now Shining Armor is a prince and Twilight is a Princess. They are arguably the wealthiest family in Equestria right now.

I’m guessing that like Pony Twilight, you might never think it from meeting her but it’s pretty clear her family are almost certainly upper class and very wealthy.
