The “big crown thingy” was an element and was eventually returned to the tree. The second crown was a replacement that was probably designed by the animators so it didn’t look like the other princess’s crowns. This third design is toy-reproduction friendly (“toyotic”). I’m expecting one or two more designs before they settle on one.
