I can only guess that they eventually decided that “Power People” sounded dumb and just went with the regular “Power Ponies” moniker as a default.
Especially since they came up with “Power People” in the Rainbow Rocks commentary.
It’s fair at this point to say that age doesn’t make any sense in this neck of the multiverse and that the characters are only as old as they need to be. In short…

your current filter.Surprisingly, the only part of Mrs. Cake model that implies weight is her cheeks (the lower body is an apron/dress that widens out, but it’s not a big waistline). In fact, I think Torch Song and Mrs. Cake might even have the same model.
They could have used Mrs. Cake’s model and adjusted that.
The simple answer is that for only a few seconds of time, it does not make sense to construct a whole new Flash puppet.
The more likely answer is that Hasbro also could get a sense of negative feedback if they made a heavy-set female teenager character (whereas, in a show about ponies, body shape is not something of an issue, heck, they allowed Whoa Nelly).
