There are multiple storylines for them. Most of these storylines end as soon as Cosmia dies.
In the main storyline, the story continues into their afterlife. In the afterlife, Artline occasionally torture murders Cosmia, then wipes Cosmia’s last several days of memory, so Cosmia does not get traumatized after she respawns.
And Cos is cool with the occasional mutilation because she’s already dead?
She just likes torture and murder.
Why does she do it?
As many times as she wants really.
