Oh! A costume and hairstyle swap! How cute! Usually the olive leaf wreath motif fits with RD’s Grecian symbolism (cloud + thunderbolt cutie mark = Zeus), but when tailored to Applejack and her palette it reminds me of the Norse/ Germanic Goddess Idun/ or perhaps Eve from the Garden of Eden, especially with the leaves as part of the garment (Adam & Eve covered themselves in fig leaves).
 
I love the application of colour. Especially the contrast of the cooler coloured mane braid, compared to the more chromatically charged tail braid on RD. On the subject of colour I enjoy the Amerindian/ Mexican textiles dyed in these colours. With those colours (red, yellow [derivative/ substitute of white], blue kind of like the Obama “Hope” poster) seems to reference flag colours of France, America and England which fuses indigenous people through the textile pattern with western colonisers.
 
Interesting how RD’s wing pokes out of the saddle from such a narrow gap. It’s like the wing joint could snap off at any moment, but biomechanics aside it really adds to her appeal.
