Fyayk yes. Someone else who’s seen Animalympics. Despite its questionable and inconsistent animation in some areas coughcoughbasketballanddogra-lacoughcough, seeing Gilda Radner’s vast vocal range in voicing the majority of the females in this movie was astounding.
And yes, I’d love to see fan art of Celaeno sparring against Contessa.
It just looks like a cutlass, which came in both straight blade and curved blade variations. The basket or cup guard was common in a naval setting, but not de rigeur.

Those look nothing like Sabers. Sabers have a hand guard, not a disk guard, are generally far more curved and the blade doesn’t nearly tapper that thin towards the end.
