But, why the Mane Six didn’t use the Elements of Harmony to defeat the Storm King? I think Celestia would have told Twilight to get the Elements of Harmony and use them to defeat the Storm King’s army before telling Luna to seek help from Queen Novo just in case, and the Mane Six would get the Elements from the Tree of Harmony in the Cave of Harmony in the Everfree Forest.

Yeah JRR Tolkien wasn’t big on including that ring he gave to the furries in his works
It was probably one of the lesser essays the elves of Eregion forged using the knowledge they received from Sauron. Powerful in it’s own way, but not actually touched by him and only dangerous if the one should ever be reclaimed.

Well, this actually explains why, in the concepts we’ve seen so far, Canterlot seems to be pretty battered but not conquered. He probably raided it to steal some artifacts/valuables and the Mane Six quest would be to bring them back…

Actually, I’ve often thought the same. Why do villains always muck it up for themselves by creating an excuse to stick around instead of running with the loot (or after they finally get revenge against the heroes)?
