Heck, I understand the premise but still don’t like how it’s executed. 
It’s either accidentally or deliberately confrontational.

Also. MAGIC. An alicorn like Luna wouldn’t have any problem levitating a cake. Or at least the plate it’s on.  
Even if she’s already levitating the gift card. Cause you know, magic can multitask.
 
I admit the second part is nitpicky, but sense must be made!

It’s just supposed to be a simple picture of Luna doing something nice for her sister for the Summer Solstice. The reason her wings are bound is because of the saddle for the cake plate. It wasn’t supposed to be restraining, it was just based off of a real horse saddle, which wraps around the underside of the body– the wings just happen to be in the way. It’s supposed to be assumed that Luna did everything herself, and Celestia didn’t force anything upon her. Nothing to look too deeply into here, just trying to draw a cute picture, sorry for the confusion.

Mind that’s for a pegasus with smaller wings. Alicorns have it worse with bigger wings.
 
And no. It doesn’t work like that. Those who love Celestia will love her no matter the day.  
As will the people who love Luna. A lesser fan base does not make a character lesser.
