I think it’s really cool that you stopped by to offer your advice.
It’s a hybird of the Open GL and internal renders (I use the Open GL AO, as it takes too long for my computer to handle internal AO) As for cycles, I’m legit dumb, and dunno how to operate it.
As for the glossiness, I was testing the Image influnce, didn’t work right.
I’ll take the FOV thing for my next render, then.
The other problem that I think a lot of people get wrong is with the camera positioning and the Field of View. A thing I learned early on when making my own models is that 3D ponies look incredibly strange when the camera is too close and the field of view angle is too wide. I think the model itself is probably fine, it’s just that the camera should be moved way farther back with a tightened up field of view.
EDIT:
I suppose I should’ve asked this first, but are you using Blender Cycles or Blender’s internal renderer?

I’m not saying it’s bad! I’m just saying that the shininess, whatever causes it, is noticeable.
I seriously thought this was an improvement over my older renders.
Guess I was wrong.
Funny you should say that…
The face is also incredibly creepy.
