Go look at the original, the one that was clearly being bait and look at the one that keeps thinking the “op has a point” tag should on it when the point was proven false, you will see that EquestrianScholar is being resalable by not painting the whole fandom as insulting Celestia and having a tantrum over jokes about Luna like that image was doing.
 
Anyone can see voicing an opinion as bait or saying somthing bad about as part of the fandom, but we don;t mark them all as such because how they state it factors in to if they really are trying to start shit.

I don’t see such, as there has been actual discussion though some have tried to bring trouble. More, in all fandoms you will find drama. As long as fans disagree there will be drama and arguments, so that shouldn’t surprising. I am merely here fixing another image that had a few issues and uploading it back onto the site better then it was.
 
Finally, you will always have fans sullying their fandoms.

Intent is meaningless in this scenario, Scholar. Your image has brought about a slew of drama and duckery within the comments and your image is in the stereotypical bait format. Face it, even if the gesture was supposed to be harmless, it royally backfired in your face, becoming a magnet for crudslinging and defacing a character and her fans. It’s like giving someone at a party food containing nuts when you didn’t know that they were deathly allergic to the nuts. It may have seemed innocent, but it just leaves a hurricane of disaster in it’s wake. So, in the end, no matter what you claim, it will always be seen as an attempt to sully a demographic of the fandom.

Again, this was not uploaded to be inflammatory. It was done because I care about the characters and because a previous image for such had a few issues by trying to make an argument in absolutes, which I had to admit was too far and clouded the point being made. Also, while the site can be a wonderful place does not mean bad things can’t happen on it.

I’m sorry, but saying “I have a point, and my post isn’t bait” when it outright insults an entire demographic of the fandom and a character of the show, really doesn’t sit right in my stomach at all. Luna/Celestia aren’t my favorites, but even I can see that this kind of thing is a bit of a cheap shot. Heck, if you said something bad about Celestia I would still make this long post about the subject at hand. So no, I say you don’t have an actual point in this matter, my good sir/madam. If you want to discuss character ethics, it’s best to move it to the forums where people will be very happy to talk to you all day about the subject. For me? I just want to see cute pones without having to filter everything on this wonderful website that we have been provided. Just because you say you’re right on a moral debate, doesn’t make you correct. No offense was meant with this post, I just don’t like inflammatory image posts.

Yah, that is part of the problem. Which honestly is frustrating because there was a fair few times I enjoyed the art created. Luna VS series was an early fanfiction I remember. Still, I mixed this with the view both were worthy sympathy and hugs.

Yeah. That was a total trash. If a pony wants a Republic one, its most likely that idea was originated by an Manehattan or Appleloosa earth pony. But we, Celestia fans swallowed too much rage during the first three years of the show.

Ah, okay that I can see a lot more. You had me a fair bit confused.

The way I see it, this is because people naturally hate authority figures and don’t see a problem with mocking and insulting those authority figures. I think people see Celestia as more of an authority figure than Luna, so people apply the anti-authority sentiment to Celestia.  
Maybe people get upset about hate towards Luna because she might still be seen as a victim, or possible because she’s seen as being more relatable?

Rainbow Dash is basically the same as Luna in that when it comes anything they do wrong people tend to do their best to rationalize and justify their action hardcore and blame someone else.
 
In RD case the Wonderbolts are her heel such as Celestia is Luna’s. Though people will also shift the blame to the rest of the Mane 6 (Mare Do Well and 28 Pranks Later) while minimizing her fault.
 
Seriously, on FimFiction people caught some downvotes simply for implying/saying that in Parental Glidance, that instead of bottling up her problems and then exploding them on her parents, she should have sat down with them and had a reasonable talk with them about their excessive cheering.

I see more complaints by those calling themselves fans of Rainbow Dash then you hear from any sort of Anti-Dashites. More, I see more controversy involving the Wonderbolts then Rainbow Dash herself.
 
I mean when it comes to the Mane Six, for myself, Rainbow Dash is in last place but I still like her as a character, I just don’t like her quite as much. Hell, that’s not even counting the controversy of Starlight Glimmer or even Sunset Shimmer.
 
What sort of drama are you inplying when it comes the Rainbow Dash? I honestly don’t see her being much of a character for controversy, or one with much of the hatedom.

I understand. Like I said, I do like both Celestia and Luna as characters. If anything, its more frustrating being a Luna fan. One appearance where she doesnt allude to her evil past would be nice.
