The only thing I can think of to compliment this would be Twilight, Sonata and Celestia as Purple, Blue and Silver respectively (Mostly because I can’t think of appropriate matches for the other rangers).

They weren’t allowed to skip the angel themed Sentai to get to the anniversary Sentai on the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers, but they were allowed to skip the series immediately after the anniversary season.  
Despite the fact that that show was designed to appeal more to Americans once it became a Power Rangers season, which it didn’t.
 
They weren’t allowed to skip seasons until after Super Megaforce.
