Dunno why. That would imply this would be bad looking back on it. By the time Spike grew to be as manly as he is when the series closes, twilight is Celestia’s size.

They clearly show there’s different stages to their growth.
We see teen dragons, we see adult dragons and then we see the BFD (big frekkin dragonlord)
So generally my comment was an opposing opinion to the “greed growth” one.
You probably meant to reply to another comment…

The dragon migration episode pretty much established how dragons grow…

Not pretty, but not the abomination in “SOME”
Dragons in this series haven’t exactly made a point to look “pretty” when they reach adulthood.
I like to think that only the ‘greed’ growth is ugly as sin and that natural growth - which he already has gotten - is much nicer. A bit like braeburned’s style.
This has been the case since his greed growth showing that he’d look like fully grown; Spike tends to resemble a large bodied theropod.
