As for your headcanon, it’s pretty okay. But knowing trixie, she’ll end up puting starlight in a dead end saying things to sunburst, giving away his friend’s feels for him

Trixie and Starlight are best friends. I don’t think Trixie will intentionally do anything to sabotage Starlight’s connection to Sunburst. But my head canon does say that since Trixie and Starlight are best friends, they often do best friend things like sharing personal secrets with each other. Secrets such as “is there a stallion that you like?” In which case, Starlight may bring up Sunburst in their conversation. This piques Trixie’s curiosity leading to more questions like “does he know you like him?” or “do you think he likes you?” and so on until Starlight feels uncomfortably embarrassed by Trixie’s intrusions. Well, at least that’s my fantasy. And there’s no wrong way to do it.

I’d also like to see them interact on the show but the chances of that happening is like getting a Twilight and Shining Armor episode. If Starlight is the new Twilight, Sunburst is the Shining Armor in her life. But since they’re not related, it’ll be okay. Its not creepy.

I just realized that out of the 3 fantasies Twilight had about Starlight’s future, her spending the rest of her life with Sunburst is the only fantasy where Spike didn’t say the characters were ooc. This is particularly note worthy because Spike was the only character that witnessed first hand Starlight and Sunburst’s “rekindling” in S6.

Starlight and Sunburst are mentioned to visit each other in the chapter books. Cadence would mention Sunburst is away to Ponyville visiting Starlight while Starlight would even pack bags to visit Sunburst in the Crystal Empire implying she stays for long periods of time. However these are only mentions. We never get to actually read about what they do.

Celestia’s all like: “there is a wrong way to fantasize……………

Maybe in the future. I mean, we got an episode for trixie and even Celestia got some character development (thank God). The boy deserves an episode

I’m sad they’re pushing Sunburst aside, though. He has barely got interaction with Starlight recently.
