Sunset: “Yes, I am. And you’re Starlight Glimmer, right?”
Starlight: “Uh, yes I am. (chuckles nervously)”
Sunset: “(Sighs) Oh girl, you’re gotta learn on friendship huh?”
Starlight: “Yeah i guess so.”

And you have been proven wrong, buddy.
I admit that I should have been clearer with that.
It’s one thing to be the protagonist of a season and another is to be a member of the mane 6.
While it seems Starlight will continue in the program she will never really be the seventh mane pony, element of harmony and everything.
On the one hand she has only interacted significantly with Twilight and not with the rest of Mane 6 and that interaction is more teacher-student style than anything, although she is a friend of Mane 6, the 7 never interact in a more personal way.
On the other hand her interaction with Sunburst or Trixie (especially the latter) looks and feels more personal and genuine as their appearances have shown us.
If Starlight continues to appear on the show, it is more likely to appear next to Trixie and/or Sunburst than along Mane 6.
I think she’s made that push into central character already.
of course not, Im talking about the over-zealous
There’s certainly no denying that the crew is trying to make her into a relatable character, but I don’t think they’ve quite taken it to such as length where she is shoved in our faces, nor are do they appear to be forcing us to like every single quality she has.
I hope that when you say glimmerfa*s, you are referring those who over-zealously defend her to the point of belittling others and not just every Starlight Glimmer fan you come across.

and I dont hate starlight, what I hate is the fact they are trying to make us like her… || and also I enjoy mock the glimmerfa*s||

I don’t hate Sunset at all. I love her too.
What I do enjoy is poking the Glimmer-haters.
“Glimmer forces the suspension of disbelief by having her somehow not get things that people should know of their own accord”
She struggles with skills that are seemingly inherent for everyone else because she literally lacks them. The entire point of her reformation is that her worldview was completely reconstructed by Twilight and that she’s starting entirely from scratch.
“forcibly abuse people”
While she did forcibly change ponies’ viewpoints, Starlight never openly abused anyone. She was always of the (misguided) belief that her actions were improving the lives of others and that she was doing the right thing.
“her “”“arc””” consists of jack shit compared to Sunset”
It’s funny you say that, considering Sunset’s reformation was even faster than Starlight’s. By the time the second EQG movie (Rainbow Rocks) rolled around, all the mannerisms and quirks from Sunset’s past identity were gone.
“She made friends with Trixie and hit a throne with a rock”
Becoming friends with Trixie was a major step for her, as Trixie was the first true friend she had made on her own since childhood. Did you even watch the season 6 finale? Her attempting to destroy the Chrysalis’ throne with a rock was meant to be comedic relief. What actually mattered was everything that occured before and what took place immediately after. It was only because of her quick thinking that she and her team of eccentric characters were able to save the mane 7 and others from imminent danger and defend Equestria from a major threat.
“Glimmerfans are so funny in their pitiful attempts to bash Sunset and save face for their low quality waifu”
I hope you realize those individuals are simply an overzealous minority. Most Starlight Glimmer fans (myself included) see merits in both characters. When we do express our distaste for her (or Starlight, for that matter), we have legitimate reasons for our feelings; we don’t push one character down just for the sake of propping up another. Also, “low quality waifu” is more of an opinion than any sort of proof that we’re supposedly terrible people.

Sunset has more personality than Glimmer ever will because she’s like a real person while Glimmer forces the suspension of disbelief by having her somehow not get things that people should know of their own accord like it’s wrong to forcibly abuse people. Sure it makes for slapstick humor, but it doesn’t fit in pony at all and makes her feel like an unnatural OC. And her “”“arc””” consists of jack shit compared to Sunset. She made friends with Trixie and hit a throne with a rock. Wow, so amazing. Though from the teaser of the premiere it appears that she’s managed to make friends with everyone in Ponyville…offscreen.
Glimmerfans are so funny in their pitiful attempts to bash Sunset and save face for their low quality waifu.
@ChuymaruZ
I certainly agree that she can be a polarizing topic in the fandom and that there are legitimate concerns about her character. However, that alone does not make her a creator’s pet (or otherwise prove that the writers are shoving her in our faces at the expense of other characters).

the fact is, if many people dont like starlight is for a reason… or many reasons…
Well the fact of the matter is, Starlight is one of the most controversial charaters in MLP.
@Sunset’s Minion
The main page for “Creator’s Pet” on tvtropes has a notice right at the top stating that “This [topic] is based on opinion”, and the specific section for My little Pony mentions the applicability of this trope to Starlight after recent episodes varies among viewers and “[depends] on whom you ask”. Moreover, the Western Animation subpage (in which the My Little Pony example is listed) can be edited by anyone with an account.

Can I have a link to that?

your current filter. In the season five premiere and finale, she was playing the role of the antagonist, and thus was under a very different light than what is cast on her now. In the season six premiere, she was part of the B story for most of the two-parter. Only in the season six finale was she the central focus of the episode.
Back to to the main point, though, her appearance in such episodes still doesn’t qualify her as a “Creator’s Pet”. If she were, then by definition she would have to appear in the majority of episodes, or if that’s not the case, her character would still be played up or at the very least acknowledged in episodes where she does not appear. Clearly neither happened in season six.

…
I know she gets a lot of attention in the episodes where she is the focus, but I think you’re overreacting a bit. Although she received plenty of support, she was never regarded quite that highly, at least prior to the season 6 finale anyway.
but she appears in the most important episodes like three premieres and two finales… and probably another one in this season
