Well yes, I take the original videos and edit them so that they are ready, I have published Gifs of others and I post them as anonymous and I put the name of the author, like the one that made the fight of Tom and Jerry, the Same I accept that the original low of Facebook, I only draw the heads and that if it is art for the quality of its drawing and synchronization, I have drawn others and I am not interested to take the credits of nothing, I do it for pleasure and for Give something to the community.  
 
 
The original image was with a horrible watermark, and left it more or less clean for everyone to use.

But here is the thing, there are lots of ways to make gifs from videos, ones that take no artistic talent at all, so for you to take credit for just making a gif from a video is to take credit away from the people that made that video in the first place.

If maybe, here you have no idea how many go up “art”, I upload the Gif for fun, to make people spend some time, I have my own images that I uploaded, with dolls because I like “Stopmotion”, some Time I did some projects but I do not currently have the time that is required for that, what I like about Derpibooru is that anyone can upload their “art”, that’s a community, here are artists with an impressive work quality with very few votes , And others who have many without any merit, I will not criticize them, everyone is free to upload what they want without annoying third parties.

Ya… this is just edited the have the gif look right, so not counted as an edit for the use of the tag when it’s a change to what it actully was.
 
Also, you upload a lot of gifs that are straight up the very thing from the videos, you are not an artist just because you turned it into a gif, or adding text to it.  
You have to do major edits for it to count.  
So tagging yourself an artist of these is wrong.

It can be, different thing is to mix frames with different size and speed, besides having to edit image by image to erase or add something, it depends what you want to do, a parody or simple letters, just as you have to edit it by the backgrounds of each animation.

Not much, rendered, cut and placed, is actually an issue but not as much as an edit, or I do not know if it is in that category.
