It was Practice Day at the track. Today the wonderbolt reserves were going through the routes of their amateur show that was coming up in a couple days. Sitting in the stands were a few of the families of the reserve and main crew ponies down on the track. A pair in particular were sitting away from most of the crowd, near the field exit. A mare and her filly.
There was a bit of an uproar as the reserves exited the back halls of the stadium, dressed and ready for their practice. As the last stallion exited, the yellow and blue filly erupted next to her mother, screaming and waving to her father. “Yay Daddy!” She shouted, her mother startled next to her.
“Sugar! Sugar, honey, don’t yell, please.” Her mother soothed in a tiny voice, though it was nothing compared to her daughter’s loud, boisterous voice. Reaching up, Fluttershy gently tugged her daughter back down, her eyes glowing with love. “Sugar, let Daddy work and focus, okay?” She asked, getting a slow, almost sad nod from her daughter.
“Okay Mamma.” The filly murmured, though she perked up when she heard her father calling from the field, waving at her. Jumping up again, she resumed her excited waving, and though being surprised, her mother let her continue, waving back shyly at her husband.
“Sugar is so not like her mother or father, she’s so hyper. But so damn cute.
Also, this was before Thunderlane quit the reserves and they little family moved back to Ponyville to help Fluttershy pursue her old career.
Don’t mind the horrible story, it’s so early, it’s ridiculous!”
