Interesting theory. If this had been a Season 6 or 7 episode they’d have likely had her fart really loudly, and I imagine she did off screen, but what you said is really fun to think about too, and would further insultingly exaggerate her imitation of Applejack who would probably do no such thing (she was being ridiculous enough as is).

The scene that’s been edited is from later in the episode, and more suggests to me that Rarity wet the pants she was wearing just as an added effect, likely suggesting an added level of lack of civilization in farm ponies. Of course, she could take it a step further, and mess in those pants as well.
