Yeah, the clothes what comes to my mind and followed by Capper’s cat species.
The Movie does seem to contain a few allusions to G1. Capper is Catrina, sea ponies are sea ponies, Storm King and Hans Grubber are Tirek and Scorpan, and incidentally, Storm King is already a reinterpreted G1 villain, kind of like former KGB Rocksteady. :3
