Quiet in that it wasn’t mentioned to be a direct invasion and was treated like the Main Six replacement, of only a few ponies. Why would they replace Shining, Cadence and Flurry if they literally invaded the place? There’s a cart before the horse and then there’s just trying to pull the cart and act like everything is normal post setting it on fire.
I don’t recall Thorax mentioning that detail, only that “they took Cadance, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart”.
Guardians of Harmony is confusing because it’s both its own thing as well as a line where they release the gender-neutral action toys.
The “Guardians” stories are to be treated as non-canon. They’ll build on canon of the show but are not at all expected to be reciprocated, but more to drive the reason for the toys to exist.
I thought this was going to be a Six-finale backstory for a bit, but considering the fact Thorax said it was a quiet replacement that’s not the case.
