I come from a family where my mom is white and my dad is black. I look black or mixed race from a glance, but my brother could pass as white if they didn’t look too closely at his facial structure. I’m presuming it’s the same here.

Probably due to the fact that one is purple and the other is white… kinda odd really.
That’s my headcanon too. I personally see one of their parents as dark skinned so one has one look and one has the other.
