The ultimate twist is that Glitter accepts his birth and becomes Snails again. That is how you get the entire LGBT community to want your head on a pike.
But is twilight being “cold blooded” mean she as literally cold blood?

I don’t have a low opinion, I was foreshadowing on story things!
Also the unfortunate truth of the trans community is the socially systemic abuse and physical trauma results in a lot of twitchy nerves and very high tensions.
When you get hit a lot you tend to be a little punchy. Everyone gets attached to their fictional friends; and when you’re constantly bouncing on your toes with dukes up things can get ugly on the internet.
It’s been her side job ever since Celestia made her pay for rent. Celestia and the mods agreed to not tell her that being a mod is volunteer work.

I think it’s more that Glitter is a transgender character, and there are plenty of people that are too sensitive about it, and brutalize those that don’t place LGBT characters on a pedestal.

It’s only healthy for artists to have a certain level of contempt for their fans, I find.
