It doesn’t necessarily need to be small, it’s the intent behind it that matters. Some people, Deceived by a “I just want it for myself so I’m going to deceive others into buying worthless crap” mindset don’t realize at the time (or do they?) that such a mindset never works. And so what if a farmer is “Just a farmer”? If the farmer is giving his/her work 100% that’s everything and is more than a rich man who’s just putting in 10% or 1%, monetarily there is no difference in this context; 100% of a person’s commitment to working is more than 1% and not one person can truly argue against it.

Also, fifty cents can make all the difference in the world to some people. “I only had a Corona five/ten cent deposit” doesn’t mean that tiny amount isn’t meaningful to someone; Something is more than nothing. “I only had a wing-power of 2.3!” said Fluttershy, prior to… I don’t even know what wing-power she ended up doing.
