Headcanon: Lyra actually missed that celebration when she was a filly. Minuette took her, Sweetie Drops, and Derpy back to see it because Twilight remembered seeing them there as mares. (Also, six Daisies from six different parts of her adulthood, just to fill up that one ride.)

Thanks to this, you can say the teal pony in the official comics who is Sunset Shimmer’s classmate isn’t Lyra, she’s an older pony from the Cutie Mark Chronicles flashback who just happens to look like Lyra but isn’t actually her.

Same applies to the others who up in the flashbacks.
