Being someone’s “style” is no excuse for this.
Not sure it works when used to this extreme. It makes it harder to follow the story, especially when he was drawing detailed backgrounds earlier in the issue.
It’s Fosgitt’s style. He uses minimal backgrounds (including flat colored ones) if there’s a deal of text or action in the panel, and saves the details when there’s only establishing shots.
