We all have to start somewhere, no one is a master at their craft until they put in several hours and years (Believe me, i know. I cry and yank at my face whenever i look at my earliest writing work circa 13 years ago xD) Keep at it!

I didn’t have much time so I didn’t draw a circle first…. I normally do though

I’ll be honest, this is not very good, but you’re clearly just starting out so it’s normal, keep practicing and you’ll improve.  
Here is some advice :
 
When you draw the head, draw a circle first then add the nose, the ears and other features, it’s pretty hard to do everything at once and most of the time you will end up with a strange shape like you did here >>1308417.
 
Also remember to leave a space between the body and the head to add the neck, here it looks like their heads is directly conected to their bodies.
 
Speaking of the body, the way you draw it is too rectangular, you should try to do a more oval shape, it’ll looks more natural ; in general, when drawing a living being you want to try to avoid angles and draw curves instead.
 
The legs are too short, they should be at least twice as long also, they are not attached under the body, the front legs should start at the base of the neck and the hind legs are on the same level.
 
I can see from this one >>1284473 that you have already improved a lot since then, so keep practicing and you’ll get better.
