I just think there’s a line between being assertive and going out of your way to insult them. It’s probably more likely to get her and the daughter killed than garner any respect… Perhaps your interpretation is right though, but if it’s not it seems pretty lousy of CLoudy to put her own pride before her daughter’s safety jut because she’s upset and wants to get in some cheap shots at their ego.
Politeness is what I would default to, but all the bovinoid creatures we’ve seen except for pure cattle (buffalo, minotaurs, yaks) seem to be quite appreciative of strength and forthrightness in their culture. Maybe Cloudy thinks it’s her best option. She’s been quite aggressive ever since the first minotaur she saw down here.

her name is not meant to be correct greek, but mainly a name. Like Peter is, to its original meaning as a name.
Actually it’s correct (the Correct-Transliteration-of-Greek Version™ should be “Adamantínē Aspís” = “Shield resistant as steel/diamond”; Ἀδαμαντίνη Ἀσπίς.)
