I still remember stumbling across the original when it was the background image for your Tumblr somewhere last year. Tasteful posing in that one. I don’t suppose I could repost this in one of my Tumblrs for documentation sake? (Crediting you and the source of course)

I think the issue here was that you uploaded it anonymously, so the claim of tracing in the description (which I could swear said it’s by an “anonymous artist” earlier) was, well, just an anonymous claim.

but yeah, you had some pretty bad timing with this one

I uploaded the image. I’m under no delusion that the pose wasn’t traced, in fact I made it a point right off the bat to state that it’s a trace and to credit the traced source. I just wanted to augment the pose with a wider framing and some clothing as it has potential. I’ve also been sitting on this PSD file for over a year, so that’s one loose end I had to tie eventually. That said, it’s funny how users managed to identify my art style within 30 minutes of uploading despite not intending to reveal my name.
 
It also seems I uploaded right on the heels of a shitstorm involving an certain artist with over 1 million DA page views tracing without credit and denying that he is. What timing.

Tracing is less of an issue than people screaming “TRAAACCCE!!!11” whenever someone draws a pose someone else already used…

The pelvic area is nigh-identical, the arms and breasts less so.  
And the face is -obviously- completely different.

Yeah, quite clearly a reference, lines don’t match up at all, shoulders are the closest and that’s just due to scale. It’s an interpretation/redraw in another style, and as I adore how King-Kakapo draws Twilight, this piece is amazing.

Redraw, reference, inspired by, yes. But if this is what’s considered a “trace”, then I’m actually a mildly malformed kangaroo wearing people-clothes.
