Yah
I noticed that effect on pokemon. There’s pokemon I like mostly because of how I’ve seen such amazing artwork of them. That includes Rule 34.
Different strokes for different folks.
Still, fanart can definitely effect future viewings of the original material. As I said, on first viewing, the Sirens were jarringly ugly. But when I view it now, I subconciously soften the edges because of all the Siren R34 and Siren Sonabetes art I’ve seen.
This is not the only example of this in action. Whenever I see Applejack or Celestia on screen, I think “junk in the trunk”, even though their butts aren’t actually bigger (well, Celestia’s is, but not by a great margin). I think you know why this happens.
Eh I suppose so but I usually find monstrous looking girls to be more attractive than normal looking human girls so even then I liked their forms better
I assume you’re saying this after years of the comics and fan artists softening their edges? Because the first time the Siren Forms popped up on screen, they were actually jarring in their monstrousness.
Such as the ones in the back? If so, then I agree with you.
