My original one was some custom build from CyberPower, the one that was installed with my PC in 2010. Then it was replaced with a Thermaltake one that leaked all over the inside of my tower (surprised it didn’t short anything out). The one I have in there now is a Corsair Hydro Series.

@Nightweaver20xx Holy shit lol, happens to the best of us, provided me with a good laugh. I haven’t really heard of that many issues going down with water cooling before. What brand was it? Was it a custom cooling pump/tank/build? I think my upcoming build will include a closed water cooling system, so no refilling will be required. Although I may be wrong.

My apologies, I was ultra-drunk when I posted that. Let me try that again. Water cooling in PCs can be notoriously unreliable because liquid can evaporate, tanks can leak, clamps can pop off, etc. The reason I sounded so salty last time is due to the fact I had to replace my water cooler in 2015 after the pump died and my computer literally wouldn’t start because no cooling was getting to the CPU. It ended up costing me $300 to replace, and the guy had to replace the initial system because the tank was cracked. He ended up going with a self-contained system that doesn’t need refilling. I’m crossing my fingers this one lasts at least a few more years.

in general in a pc mod like this and counting on the bulk on the gpu and such it would be a bitch to get water cooling working but on the cpu maybe with a hybrid cooler c:

The budget for the build was set by the customer. Parts were chosen with that in mind.

@Nightweaver20xx How is that relevant? I just suggested removing some of the bulkiness of the interior so it looks much more flowing and modern as it is on the exterior. Fans with cooling fins generally are super bulky and take up all of that midsection space. You should know that, you’ve done it for 7 years.

Oh you mean that cooling system that you have to replace every year because it’s super unreliable and I know that because I’ve had one for the past 7 years?

Could get rid of that visual bulk by replacing the cpu fan cooler with liquid cooling.

Everyone knows Sun Butt is best princess, but that is so cool! It’s seriously at least 20% cooler than my rig. Love the black and white theme, have thought about painting mine white and doing an Aperture Labs thing.

That name is a bunch of different product names for various computer parts. The case, the CPU, the RAM, the cooling unit, the graphics card, the power supply and the solid state hard drive.

Nah man actually putting together a computer is easy. You can do it in a few hours if you have the motivation. The rest of the time is just installing the OS and programs.

Nah. I just took a really long time to get to it. The build took about 4 days.

I paid off my car. I’m considering a PC upgrade. Especially if I either land a better job (have two new promising prospects that are actually in accounting, fingers crossed) or failing that, when I get my tax refund. Including the case since mine is something like 8 or 9 years old at this point and my local shop said that it’s pretty much as beefy as will fit without starting to have serious heat issues.

Well, the generation I used is just for the video card… GTX 10X0 has been improved a lot compare with GTX 9X0.
